Artist Biography
Linda Germain is a printmaker and innovator. She enjoys
using what she already has to create interesting images.
Linda took the long way around to be coming a working
artist. Her first career was that of an attorney, and then she
sought happiness in the wilderness of Maine, as a whitewater
raft guide and ski pro. She has focused on painting,
photography and printmaking for just the last three years.
Ms. Germain has studied at Montserrat College of Art,
Northern Essex Community College, Essex Art Center, the
Artist’s Playground and Women’s Studio Workshop and R & F
Paints in NY. She continues to take courses wherever she
can.
Her accomplishments include a scholarship to Women’s Studio
Workshop to take a course, Cross-Pollination Monoprints and
Encasutic, and the Excellence in Printmaking award at the
10th Annual Regional Juried Show at the Newburyport art
Association. Her work has been published in Parnassus, the
Northern Essex Community College Literary and Arts
Magazine. Her work has been shown at several groups shows
at the Newburyport Art Association. She has participated in
other group shows in Andover, MA, Boxford, MA, and
Newcastle, NH. She has had solo shows at the Haverhill
Public Library, Roots Salon, Ispwich, MA and at the Veseay
Boardroom in Groveland MA.
Ms. Germain has developed a unique method of sewn collage
combined with gelatin print monotypes.
